If you want to surf the web anonymously there is a simple solution - Proxy servers.
A proxy server is a server you can surf from using its identity and IP, there are sites that provide this server for free, here is a list of some of these sites:

GreaseMonkey

GreaseMonkey is a Firefox addon i've been using for a while, i think it will be useful to everyone. GreaseMonkey lets you add a Javascript to a site or sites - changing/adding adjustments to the site that only you can see. For example you can add a script that lets you download DivX files from video sites like stage6.

To download GreaseMonkey(Firefox only):

To install a script:
1. Install GreaseMonkey and restart Firefox.
2. Find a script you want to add and view it(in your browser, no need to download).
3. Go to Tools > Greasemonkey > New Script. Now a dialog will show, wait a few seconds and click on Install, if the script is installed you will see a message in the status bar that confirms the installation.
*4. Notice the monkey head icon on the bottom of your browser, if you click it you can enable and disable GreaseMonkey.

Google searching tips

You can search much more efficiently and specifically with Google, this is a list of all the tips i know that can make your searching easier:

When you want to search a specific site, for example: blogspot.com, this is what you write in the search box: "whatever site:blogspot.com". Now you can change the "whatever" to anything you want to search and the URL after the "site:" to any site you want.

If you want to search a specific file format such as *.jpg, this is what you write in the search box: "whatever inurl:jpg", again changing the "whatever" to anything you want and the "jpg" after the "inurl:" to any file format you want. If you want to search more than one format just add more like this "inurl:jpg|gif|bmp".

If you want sites that include a "word" or "another word" you can write this in the search box: "one OR two"(keep the OR in capital letters), this will search "one" or "two".

If you want sites that include all the words you wrote, write this in the search box: "allintitle: these are some words", Google will search only sites that include the full sentence "these are some words".

Making favicons/icons from images

This guide will tell you how to make an icon or favicon(an icon which is your site's icon - like the "B" of blogspot) from an image.

1. enter this link.
2. choose an image with the browse button.
3. select the checkboxes if you would like to make the icon a merged icon - merged with 32x32 or merged with a large XP icon 48x48. Now click the "Create icon button", now you have an icon.

This is my blog's first post, the blog is about general stuff, i will put anything i think can be of use for the blog's viewers. So here is the first post:

Downloading YouTube Videos(for Firefox users):
1. first you will need this firefox extension from here https://addons.mozilla.org/
(search for "fast video download").
2. enter a youtube video you would like to download and press the small button in the bottom-left corner of your browser(it looks like a window with an orange arrow).
3. after you downloaded the video you will have a video.flv file, if you want to change the format to mp3, mpg, 3gp or else you can go to www.converttube.com or to www.vixy.net.
